Olivia Braun

About Me

Olivia Braun (she/her) is a heartfelt, compassionate artist. She started acting at age nine in, you guessed it, Annie Jr.! From there, she attended Oakland School for the Arts for middle and high school where she received Musical Theatre and Acting training. Some of her favorite projects along the way include: The Oresteia  (Trojan Woman), The Importance of Being Earnest (Gwendolen), Danny and the Deep Blue Sea (Roberta), and Cabaret (Sally Bowles).

While at UCLA, Olivia has acted in several student-produced plays, most notably Savage in Limbo (April), Cassiopeia8000 (Jean Harlow), and Goodbye Billy the Butterfly (Greta) – the last two new works by UCLA undergraduate playwrights. This past winter she was in the TFT MFA directing thesis Fairview (Bets). Short film credits include: Blue (Lee); All Ways, Always (Bri); Goodbye Horses (PA); USC junior thesis Magic Rope (PA); and UCLA senior thesis Palm of Space (Associate Producer/Costume Designer).

In 2021, she starred as Liv in the web series We’re Not Strangers, which premiered in 2023 at The New Parkway Theater in Downtown Oakland and has since screened at the Alameda Film Festival and Toronto International Women’s Festival. The series was produced and directed by Amy Marie Haven, her lifelong mentor, and director of the aforementioned production of Annie Jr. Olivia received both the Mariska Hargitay Scholarship for Acting Students and Natalie Wood Acting Award in her third year at UCLA.
